You support our team as Set-up Technician (Metals) Reports to: Manufacturing Manager We are currently seeking a Set-up Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will beresponsiblefor preventive maintenance, performing change overs, repairing of machines and equipment. Job Type: Full-time Shifts Available 2nd shift 2:55pm to 11:05pm, Work Location: In person (Gainesville, GA)

Requirements

  • Vocational or Certificate Training: desired
  • Work experience in a high volume manufacturing environment: Minimum 1 year, desired 2 years or more
  • Good reading comprehension of work instruction
  • Good ability to work in a team environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Good technical skills
  • Good hands-on troubleshooting
  • Basic knowledge of CNC machines (maintenance, set up, operation)
  • Basic understanding of metric system
  • Basic understanding of measurement equipment – preferred
  • Basic experience with quality systems – preferred
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Basic G-Code programming – preferred

Responsibilities

  • Starting and verifying production
  • Maintenance of machines and equipment
  • Troubleshooting of CNC machines and related equipment
  • Performing change overs
  • Changing and setting tools
  • Handling and inspection of material
  • Operating CNC machines
  • Limited program adjustments
  • Perform minor repairs
  • Production reporting
  • Performing quality inspection and recording into quality system
  • Following International Automotive Task Force quality standards – IATF 16949
  • Escalation of issues to manager
  • Teamwork – assisting others with more difficult tasks
  • Following Internal Quality Issues procedure – IQI
  • Ensuring First in – First out
  • Ensuring safety rules and policies are followed
  • Housekeeping – 5S-Standard
  • Other duties assigned
