About The Position

Join us as our new Setup Technician for Bottle Pack We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Setup Technician to join our dietary supplement manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, technical product knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires expertise in SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies) principles, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The Setup Technician will also step in as a general operator when needed, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining compliance with FDA and 21 CFR Part 111 regulations. This position works Monday-Thursday from 2:30pm-12:30am with the opportunity for overtime on weekends. In this role you'll make an impact by: Prioritizing safety by following company policies, FDA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Performing quality checks during setups and production to ensure products meet standards. Efficiently completing machine setups, changeovers, calibrations, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance. Conducting basic repairs and preventative maintenance and collaborating with maintenance teams for major issues. Generating and maintaining controlled documents such as SOPs, work instructions, and forms related to equipment setup and operation. Training and mentoring operators on equipment use, procedures, and safety practices. Identifying and implement process improvements, driving productivity and participating in lean manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or food industries.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and 21 CFR Part 111 compliance is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of SMED principles and their application in manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Technical product understanding with the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience conducting root cause analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
