About The Position

The SharePoint Administrator provides technical administration, configuration, maintenance, and governance support for Microsoft SharePoint environments under the IMCS IV contract at Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG), MD. The SharePoint Administrator ensures secure, compliant, and reliable collaboration services in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD), Army cybersecurity policies, and contract requirements. The position supports mission readiness by maintaining availability, performance, and integrity of enterprise collaboration platforms.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience administering SharePoint environments.
  • Experience with SharePoint Server and/or SharePoint Online administration.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory integration and role-based access control.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and collaboration services.
  • DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification (e.g., Security+, or equivalent).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.
  • Meet DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Code 625 requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Army installations.
  • Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint or Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud or hybrid collaboration environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain SharePoint Server and/or SharePoint Online environments.
  • Administer site collections, libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions.
  • Manage user access, role-based permissions, and governance controls.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and cumulative updates in accordance with change management procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot application, search, and connectivity issues.
  • Support integration with Active Directory, Microsoft 365 services, and enterprise applications.
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures for SharePoint environments.
  • Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and implement security hardening measures.
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation and continuous monitoring requirements.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and enforce least-privilege access principles.
  • Monitor audit logs and respond to potential security events.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD 8140/8570 workforce certification requirements.
  • Support development and maintenance of SharePoint workflows, forms, and automation tools.
  • Assist with Power Platform integrations (Power Automate, Power Apps) as required.
  • Provide Tier II/III support for SharePoint-related incidents and service requests.
  • Coordinate with system administrators, network administrators, and cybersecurity personnel to ensure secure system integration.
  • Maintain architecture documentation, configuration baselines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Document change management activities and maintain configuration control records.
  • Provide technical briefings and status reports to Government and contract leadership.
