About The Position

Planned Systems International (PSI) is an Enterprise IT services company who focuses on designing, building, securing, and operating cutting-edge software solutions that drive mission success and operational excellence for Federal Government organizations. We are currently seeking an experienced SharePoint & Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our critical digital platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, security, and functionality of our SharePoint environments, while also providing essential support for various other IT systems including Active Directory, ServiceNow, FMS/OpenBlue, and general server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, development, and administration, coupled with a strong background in system administration and web design principles. Members of this team support the U.S. Military personnel at Medical Education and Training Campus (METC) at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in SharePoint administration (SharePoint 2013, 2016, 2019, SE, or SharePoint Online)
  • CompTIA Security Plus Certification, Full Computing Environment (CE) certification required.
  • Must be willing and able to work 8 hours shifts between 6AM – 7PM as needed.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required as is the ability to transfer or obtain the required clearance and/or access.
  • Thorough knowledge creating SharePoint content solutions using Microsoft Office 2016 and 365, SharePoint, InfoPath, SharePoint Designer, and later versions (as upgrades are made)
  • Demonstrated expertise in SharePoint Farm Administration, including patching, upgrades, security, and disaster recovery.
  • Proficiency in Nintex Workflows and Forms (design, development, and administration).
  • Strong experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint and Windows Server automation.
  • Proficiency in web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Experience with Active Directory administration, including group and user management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards, specifically AR 25-1.
  • Experience with server operating systems (Windows Server) and IIS management.
  • Experience with server administration (e.g. MS Server 2019 and 2022, WINS/DNS/DHCP servers, and Print servers).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex IT issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide technical training to end-users.
  • IAT Level II baseline certification required
  • Full Computing Environment (CE) certification required.
  • Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, including talking and hearing.
  • Ability to operate productively in a fully remote work environment, including the ability to take meetings and phone calls from a quiet and private space during business hours.
  • Ability to be responsive and working during Eastern time zone standard business hours (9:00am to 4:00pm EST).
  • Ability to satisfy security clearance and onboarding requirements: Print, sign, scan, and return onboarding documentation.
  • Travel at personal expense to nearest government facility to get fingerprinted, apply for a PIV badge, pick-up the PIV badge, and pick-up government equipment, if needed.

  • Experience with SharePoint Online and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with InfoPath forms.

  • Experience with FMS/OpenBlue or similar facilities management systems.
  • Experience working in a government or military environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain appropriate Cyber Security controls and ensure Operational Security requirements are according to the performance standards established by DHA J6 for all assigned servers.
  • Be responsible and accountable for modification and maintenance of enterprise content in the METC SharePoint Portal.
  • Integrate external business data, workflows, and business process models into the environment.
  • Designs and create SharePoint web parts.
  • Customize site structure to the needs of the organization.
  • Employ out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities in MS InfoPath, MS Visual Studio, SP Designer, SP Performance Point, SP Intellisense, the SP Business Intelligence Center, Nintex K2, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, SQL, PowerShell and related tools within the web application framework.
  • Provide continuing advice and assistance to METC staff on the implementation of viable SharePoint-based business solutions.
  • Provide training and support for SharePoint content managers.
  • Identify and replace failed hardware with government furnished replacements; ensure all back-up systems are operating on latest versions of software and have required patches and patches.
  • Be responsible for Cyber Compliance (i.e. STIGing, Patching) for SP site, Web and OS Servers.
  • Draft and maintain SOP documents for the functional category.
  • Designing user interfaces within the SharePoint Intranet environment
  • Working with customers to test SharePoint content against requirements
  • Monitoring and assuring quality, functionality, security, and integrity of SharePoint content; writing and maintaining documentation of SharePoint content
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems with the design and delivery of SharePoint content
  • Collecting and analyzing SharePoint content use and performance statistics
  • Providing design and delivery advice to SharePoint content providers
  • Applying information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of SharePoint content; performing other duties as assigned
  • Project a positive image and professional manner at all times
  • Ability to work within the confines of a set time schedule
  • Knowledge and experience communicating SharePoint concepts to technical and nontechnical personnel
  • Ability to develop technical documents and produce system design documentation
