About The Position

This position plays a critical role in supporting the overall success of the Columbus Plants by ensuring timely delivery of high-quality Sheet metal and powder coat paint components to both internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years in machine shop operations
  • >5 years Management experience
  • English
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, or other applicable majors.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development: Provides a blend of strong leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen to ensure the Sheetmetal fabrication and paint operations are meeting all customer, Engineering, and Quality expectations. Fosters a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, to promote a successful team.
  • Daily production management: Leads staff to meet department production goals while adhering to all Quality, Engineering, and customer’s requirements. Schedules staff/machines, optimizes workflow, manages materials, and drives efficiency to, meeting department deadlines. Helps define and communicates Sheet Metal and Paint production capacity and provides solutions to overcome constraints. Ensures all TPM program responsibilities are met, equipment is properly used, and work cells are kept in good working order.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations in sheet metal and powder coat painting process, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets. Optimize resources by ensuring adequate production costs.
  • Process Improvement: Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and implement best practices to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Industrialization and Production Planning teams to ensure seamless integration of components into final products.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Management: Monitor KPIs, analyze production data, and take corrective actions to achieve departmental goals.
