Sheet Metal & Structural MIG Fabricator — Data Center Enclosures
About The Position
Build mission-critical infrastructure Put your precision MIG skills to work on custom, large-scale enclosures powering industrial and data center operations. Impact you’ll make Transform drawings into finished, high-quality enclosure assemblies. Hold tight tolerances on sheet metal and structural steel welds. Own the full fabrication sequence: layout → cut → fit → weld → assemble. Tools you’ll master MIG welding equipment for custom fabrication (not high-volume production) Fabrication tools: saws, drills, grinders, and power tools Measurement instruments: tape measures, calipers, micrometers Material handling: overhead cranes and related equipment (forklift/crane experience a plus)
Requirements
- 3+ years hands-on fabrication or welding experience (5+ preferred)
- Strong MIG welding background in a fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints
- Proven track record fabricating to tolerance
- Comfort working extended hours, including overtime and occasional Saturdays
- Open to a contract-to-hire path
Nice To Haves
- TIG welding experience
- Experience with large enclosures or industrial equipment builds
- Forklift or overhead crane experience/certification
- OEM or custom machine-build environment background
