About the position

Manage and monitor budget, and operations to ensure casino profitability. Ensure the security of company assets according to casino and department policies and procedures. Develop employee-training programs to improve customer service and cashier skills.

Responsibilities

  • Handle large amounts of cash, accounting for total funds received throughout the shift.
  • Reconcile cage accountability.
  • Delegate cashier duties and breaks.
  • Train and coach when needed.
  • Enforce company and department policies.
  • Issue corrective action discipline.
  • Create shift schedules, collaborating with other shift managers.
  • Enter shift schedules into Paylocity.
  • Perform chip fills and credits for table games.
  • Cash various checks, chips, miscellaneous expenditures, and coin for guests and team members.
  • Verify outlet revenue and prepare banks.
  • Process credit markers, payment of markers and front money deposits.
  • Process and pay on return items.
  • Ensure compliance with Title 31 and Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Maintain keys, credit, front money and logs.
  • Perform even cash exchanges for slot redemptions, perform cash advances, promotional payouts and foreign currency.
  • Document redemption kiosk cassette drop and fill.
  • Be knowledgeable of all property amenities, promotions and events to assist with guest inquiries.
  • Report any suspicious activity to cage manager and file Suspicious Activity Reports.
  • Run reports to verify the accuracy of MTL and Title 31.
  • Balance cash drawer(s) at the end of the shift.
  • Attend training sessions required by cage department and Plaza Hotel and Casino.
  • Consult Internal Controls and Cage Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Identify counterfeit currency, checks and chips.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • One year of experience as a Casino Cage Supervisor.
  • Five years of customer service experience.
  • Five years of Casino Cage experience.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with gaming and federal laws and regulations.
  • Must be trained and adhere to Title 31 rules and regulations.
  • Computer skills, Excel, Oasis.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard, 10-key calculator, coin and currency counters.

  • Knowledge of Central Credit, National Creda-check, Cash Club.
