About The Position

You will start as an hourly team member to learn our DNA from the ground up, with a clear, accelerated roadmap to transition into a Shift Manager role based on your mastery of our stations and culture What Does this Role Look Like Day-to-Day? As a crucial member of our team, you will help us realize our vision for expanding our iconic brand beyond our flagship location, while also maintaining the high performance and standards that have made us a St. Louis institution. You will work with purpose, collaborating with the Kitchen Team, Shift Leads, Ownership, and the General Manager to oversee operations at the South Grand location. In your capacity as Shift Manager, you will uphold our commitment to service and food quality, and contribute to decisions that drive our business forward. What Does a Successful Leader Look Like? Leaders at Steve’s Hot Dogs (and all HU STL Hospitality concepts) MUST be builders of people. They must demonstrate the ability to delegate, to pour their knowledge and skills into their team and to get everyone who works with them to perform at their highest levels. To excel in this role, you must have a passion for leadership, front of house and/or bartending experience, and be social, gregarious, and passionate about delivering unforgettable experiences to customers. You should be dependable, detail-oriented, and dedicated. You must also be coachable, trainable, and committed to personal and professional growth alongside the growth of our brand. The Path to Leadership: How it Works At Steve’s, we believe you can’t lead a team until you’ve walked in their shoes. Phase 1: The Foundation. You’ll start as a regular staff member, learning every station (Kitchen, FOH, Bar). Phase 2: Accelerated Training. While you work the floor, you’ll receive 1-on-1 mentorship and "fast-track" operational training. Phase 3: The Promotion. Once you have demonstrated mastery of all stations, proven your reliability, and shown you can motivate the team, you will be officially promoted to Shift Manager. Pay & Benefits We invest in our leaders from Day 1. You will begin at a competitive hourly rate while in your training phase, with an automatic pay increase and expanded benefits upon your formal promotion to Shift Manager.

Benefits

  • Guaranteed $18/hour minimum (Includes base + tips) plus 1 week PTO - may be more with tips
