About The Position

The Spring is growing and have added some new positions. We are looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor for the 7am - 5pm shift on Sunday through Wednesday. The Spring is a faith-based service provider, shelter, and advocacy organization for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. The Shift Supervisor provides on-shift leadership to Advocate staff, ensuring safe, effective, and trauma-informed services for shelter guests. This role offers real-time guidance, oversees daily operations, and serves as the point of contact for staff support, guest concerns, and incident response. Shift Supervisors help maintain a supportive, organized, and responsive shelter environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3 years of related experience
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to sign The Spring's Statement of Faith
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional boundaries
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Must be able to pass a 7-year background check.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support Advocate and Advocate Support staff during assigned shifts
  • Ensure accountability to policies, procedures, and program expectations
  • Model trauma-informed advocacy and escalate concerns to the Crisis Shelter Manager as needed
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development
  • Ensure staff complete required annual training and certification requirements
  • Ensure guest intakes are completed within 72 hours of arrival
  • Monitor advocate caseloads to ensure quality advocacy, safety planning, and service coordination
  • Oversee accurate, compliant documentation in alignment with OAG standards
  • Ensure services are survivor-centered, inclusive, confidential, and legally compliant
  • Support day-to-day shelter operations and inventory management
  • Assist with planning and hosting shelter events
  • Fill in as Guest Advocate or Advocate Support staff as needed
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to shelter emergencies
