About The Position

We are currently looking for a Shipper/Loader – 2nd Shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) to be based out of Pueblo. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Shipper/Loader will be responsible for efficiently receiving and loading of orders as well as movement of materials in the plant, while adhering personal conduct based on Atkore’ ATIRE protocols

Requirements

Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent
Three years previous shipping/receiving experience is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good understanding of math skills required for quick and accurate counting, calculations, and measurements
Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization
Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted

Responsibilities

Receive and assemble order quantities and properly crate orders within requirements set by carriers, consolidating shipping orders when possible.
Ensure product is packaged to arrives damage-free by building properly sized pallets, banding, and securing order.
Safely operate forklift to transport crates throughout the facility and on to the carrier truck
Verify shipment weight.
Accept orders shipped to warehouse, verify quantity and items received and compare to delivery receipt and purchase order, investigate and differences immediately, identify any damage whether visible or concealed and accept or refuse delivery as appropriate.
Breakdown orders received and distribute contents to appropriate locations throughout facility.
Move finished product outside and stage for loading truck.
Move raw materials to production areas as required to maintain production.
Keep trash hoppers empty.
Perform any other tasks appointed by management.
