About the Role As a Shipper at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient material handling, order fulfillment, and inventory management. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and enjoys working with warehouse equipment.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Basic math skills for accurate order processing; ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and high attention to detail.
  • Physical Abilities Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
  • Work environment includes a loud manufacturing/industrial setting.

Responsibilities

  • Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
  • Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.
  • Pick, pack, and stage orders, verifying accuracy using scanning tools.
  • Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, reporting any damages.
  • Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory.
  • Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.
