About The Position

Associate to perform any safety checks at the start of their shift and throughout their shift. Prepare daily shipping paperwork and lists using computer and manual forms Prepare items for shipping using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. Bind containers with metal tape, if necessary. Post weights and shipping charges, affix postage or any other identifying information required for proper shipment. Examine and ensure all outgoing shipments meet required shipping and customer specifications. Ensure correct shipment of international orders. Operate forklifts or hand trucks to move or hoist shipments safely. Build skids necessary for completion of shipments. Provide outstanding, detail-oriented service above and beyond what is asked for both internal and external customers. Possess excellent communication skills both internally and externally. Prior experience using UPS software a plus but not required. Prior shipping experience a plus but not required.
