About The Position

Reporting to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate entry of materials and goods received into inventory. The ideal person will be informed and organized in documentation of transactions and thrives as a materials coordinator (Shipping, damaged goods, returns). The primary point of contact for all inquires pertaining to shipments, orders and inventory. Job Description Shipping and Receiving Associate Lancaster, PA | 1st Shift | Pay $22 per hour We’re looking for a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team in Lancaster, PA. This 1st shift role is hands-on, working directly on the warehouse floor with heavy machinery to ensure shipments are processed accurately, safely, and on time. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with plant manager, sales staff, and plant personnel.
  • Ability to understand equipment and tolerances through prior experience.
  • Warehouse experience with forklift operation, packing, and measuring.
  • Safety-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of plastics handling, including proper staging, processing, packaging, and shipping.
  • First aid and CPR training.
  • Exposure to SAP, safety programs, ISO standards, and lean practices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received.
  • Oversee safe and reliable packaging of all outgoing shipments.
  • Process items for shipment according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine priorities, assignments, and shipping methods required to meet schedules—utilizing knowledge of procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Review all international shipment documentation to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Maintain timely, effective, and professional communication with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Perform record keeping, filing, and other administrative duties as required.
  • Follow all company safety policies and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.
