About The Position

We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands 4x from $500MM to $1+B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and through M&A. The Shipping & Receiving - Logistics Clerk is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory and documentation, and ensuring efficient communication between the plant, customer service, and third-party logistics providers (3PL). This role plays a key part in supporting daily logistics operations, scheduling shipments, and managing order processing within SAP.. This position will be based out of Kar's Nuts in Madison Heights, MI 48071.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or business is an asset.
  • 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
  • Experience working with SAP (especially STOs and order processing) preferred.
  • Experience working with 3PL providers and transportation carriers is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail with accurate documentation and data entry.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate between internal teams, 3PL, and carriers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot shipment issues and manage OS&D situations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities for all inbound and outbound materials.
  • Schedule transportation appointments with carriers, warehouses, and customers.
  • Process and manage direct customer orders in the system.
  • Create and manage Stock Transport Orders (STOs) in SAP to support internal transfers and inventory movement.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the plant and third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely shipments and deliveries.
  • Track shipments and communicate updates to internal teams and customers as required.
  • Manage and document OS&D (Overage, Shortage, and Damage) incidents, including investigation and resolution with carriers and warehouses.
  • Verify shipping and receiving documentation such as bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery confirmations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and shipment records in SAP and other internal systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and shipping processes.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks related to logistics operations.
