About The Position

The Shipping Associate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing, packaging, and shipment of all outgoing orders. This role involves handling inventory, verifying shipping documentation, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with strong organizational skills, technical proficiency in shipping software, and the physical capability to manage warehouse tasks. They should possess excellent communication, mindfulness, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Clerical experience
  • Experience with RF scanning equipment.
  • Ability to learn and work with ERP software.
  • Ability to learn or drive a fork truck.
  • Strong mindfulness and organizational skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a demanding environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to accurately count and track inventory.
  • Flexibility to work on a varying schedule based on workloads.
  • Ability to work in a production setting for 8+ hours at a time and able to carry, lift, move, or push up to 50lbs to shoulder height repetitively.
  • Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Exposure to warehouse environments with varying temperatures.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Basic user experience with Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, package, and label products for shipment via the shipping queue, Including creating and submitting advanced shipping notices (ASNs), ensuring all items are correctly identified and in good condition.
  • Verify and complete shipping documentation accurately, including packing slips, shipping labels, and customs forms.
  • Maintain accurate records, including posting outbound shipping transactions in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system of shipped and received goods, report discrepancies, and assist with regular inventory audits.
  • Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups, track shipments, and resolve delivery issues.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality, including compliance requirements and customer specifications.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Work closely with other departments, to ensure smooth operations and address any shipping-related issues.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
