Purpose of Job: This position reports to the Shipping Group Leader, Supervisor and Manager and is responsible for completion of daily shipments and loading / unloading trucks. Minimum level of education / training required/certificates/licenses: This position prefers a General Educational Diploma (GED) or High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma, entry level position, tow motor experience a plus Minimum experience required: Previous experience in shipping or driving a forklift a plus but not required. Requirements Essential Responsibilities: Accurately performs Yearend inventory. Precisely performs weight counting. Competently packages & labels all repacks Efficiently loads, & unloads OSS(Outside Service Supplier) parts. Accurately loads/unloads & verification of customer freight. Effectively uses computer/scanner functions related to shipping. Correctly stores & removes parts in manifest with rack picker 25ft maximum height. Accurately scans customer parts for shipment to ensure exact counts are shipped. Efficiently operates forklift / rack motors and maintains check sheets. Accurately fills out blank shippers and freight. Resourcefully has the ability to work with little or no supervision. Basic understanding and compliance to Batesville Tool & Die (BTD) Standards and Principles. Responsible for cleaning the department and keeping everything in precise order. Based on company needs a flexible work schedule and/or overtime is needed. Support and adhere to Technical Specification (TS) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) activities and procedures. Other: Perform any other duties as assigned with enthusiasm and without complaint. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is continually required to stand, sit, walk, twist and bend at waist, use hands to fingers, handle or touch parts while repacking. The employee is frequently required to drive tow motors to move product to appropriate locations. Employee is required reach above shoulders, push and pull boxes from racks and drive rack motors that go up to 25 feet in the air. The employee occasionally is required to climb, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl to get parts. The employee will also be required to frequently lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. Please note that these physical demands are based on a typical work day. Environmental Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continually exposed to all weather conditions rain, sleet, snow, wind and humidity.
