About The Position

Perform duties associated with the shipping and receiving of products and supplies.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
  • Related Experience: Experience in food preparation or industrial setting preferred.
  • Equipment/Software Skills: Fully working knowledge of MS Office applications; World Ship knowledge a plus
  • Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Forklift/Industrial Truck certification required.
  • Able to operate a pallet jack.
  • Competencies Must be able to read/write/speak English, must be able to do basic arithmetic.
  • Must be able to write clearly.
  • Must be able to communicate with other employees in a clear and professional manner.
  • Physical: Must be able to walk throughout the plant, to include walking and climbing up/downstairs.
  • Must have be ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required and must be able to wear a respirator required.
  • Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.)
  • Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to analyze information quickly to provide feedback in the manufacturing process and troubleshoot equipment failures.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced experience with ERP/WMS systems beyond daily operational use
  • Proficient in RF scan gun operation and warehouse system navigation
  • Prepare and verify pick sheets for staged and live loads; ensure order accuracy using FIFO methodology
  • Coordinate truck appointments and schedule outbound/inbound shipments
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
  • Enforce DOT weight regulations for outbound shipments
  • Authorize facility access for truck drivers via gate notifications
  • Support and monitor dock operations including loading and unloading activities
  • Assist loaders in locating products using systematic and physical warehouse locations
  • Audit warehouse activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
  • Maintain inventory of shipping/receiving supplies and packaging materials (e.g., pallets, film)
  • Communicate packaging supply status to Shift Supervisor
  • Build professional rapport with drivers and serve as a point of contact for deliveries and pickups
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with CSRs, carriers, management, and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, environmental, and GMP policies
  • Participate in scheduled safety and GMP meetings
  • Support additional site functions as needed (e.g., Spice Room, Quality Control)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Willingness and ability to work required overtime
