As a Material Handler in our warehouse, you will play a vital role in the satisfaction of our customers by moving freight, stock, or other materials for our commercial door and service customers. LockNet will forklift certify and provide in-house training on company products and procedures.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in a similar relevant role
• Experience loading and unloading material with a forklift preferred, but not required
• Ability to read and use measuring tools
• General computer skills preferred, specifically with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Constantly required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Constantly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Constantly required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, including overhead.
• Regularly required to use close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly required to operate a forklift for the movement of heavy and oblong inventory within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Palletizing door frames to prevent damage during shipping process
• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage and/or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles or containers, by hand or using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment.
• Pack, seal, and add labels to containers to prepare materials for shipping
• Examining shipment contents and comparing with records such as invoices or orders, to verify accuracy.
• Assembling windows, frame pallets, and crates for upcoming shipments
• Loading and unloading freight carrier shipments according to safety standards
• Inspecting door, hardware, and frame parts prior to shipment to ensure quality of product before shipping
• Operating forklift to transport heavy shipments
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
