Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Posts weights and shipping charges; prepares bill of lading Prepares orders, picks products and builds shipments per order Affixes shipping labels on finished boxes or skids on outgoing products Loads / Unloads trucks as needed Unloads incoming shipments, posts on report for QC to inspect items Verify shipments physically built prior to shipping to meet KPI’s Ship verifies using internal company software Routes inbound items to warehouse/department location. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet height and weight specifications Assists Shipping Supervisor with inventory of shipping materials and supplies Assist in creation of SOP’s for department task Schedule trucks using customer approved supplier or third-party portal as required Schedule, build and ship all parcel/FedEx orders as needed Maintains cleanliness in shipping area Safely operate forklift Cross train in other areas of department to competency level Other duties as assigned by
