Position Summary: Based in Haltom City, TX, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk/ Driver will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Office Manager to meet customer specifications, including assisting other employees as needed.

Requirements

This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one year of experience in computer applications, including Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to learn new software programs related to the desired function.
Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
Minimum one year of experience in commercial driving.
Must have a current driver’s license, be able to produce and maintain a clean driving record, and obtain and maintain a forklift operator certificate.
Must be able to pass a commercial driver's physical.
May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.

Responsibilities

Maintains the shipping and receiving area as needed.
Assists with loading and unloading trucks. Schedules truck shipments, UPS, and FedEx as needed.
Interacts with customers as needed to clarify or communicate discrepancies and schedules.
Inspects and records incoming and outgoing orders for count, damage, dates, etc.
Bring any irregularities or other discrepancies/concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping.
Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers’ inventory and, as such, will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
Responsible for general inspection of the company truck, including minor maintenance as needed.
Complete required paperwork (i.e., vehicle inspection reports as needed).
Responsible for prompt and accurate pickup and delivery of customers’ parts and related materials, practicing safe driving standards as required by state law.
Responsible for preparing jobs for shipment, loading, and unloading trucks in a safe and careful manner.
Secure all loads per DOT requirements.
Must maintain professional demeanor and appearance at all times as determined by the company.
Must follow set procedures if involved in an accident: call authorities, complete accident report (in glove box), and call supervisor immediately.
Report all Warnings, Citations, and tickets from any roadside inspection or traffic stops to the supervisor upon return to the home plant.
Provides exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with both external and internal customers.
Practices and promotes safety, good housekeeping, and assists in the shipping/receiving department as needed.
Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
This position is responsible for the driving operation function of the business and, as such, will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with all state motor vehicle guidelines and regulations.
