Swagelok Northwest (US) is the Swagelok authorized sales and service center providing the highest quality products, services and fluid systems training for the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shipping and Receiving Clerk with experience working in a detail-oriented environment. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk II position is responsible for the physical processing of orders, receiving inventory, and general inventory management. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, like working with people and have at least 2 year of experience working in a warehouse or similar setting. They will also be someone who enjoys working in a team environment, as well as being self-motivated to succeed on their own. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday – Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Requirements

  • A two-year degree, preferably in a technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2 plus years of customer service, materials management, or procurement experience
  • High-level mechanical aptitude
  • Basic product knowledge
  • Organizational awareness
  • Maintain annual visual acuity certification.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Shipping software UPS Wordship software
  • Fed Ex Ship Manager software
  • Working knowledge of SAP-B1 business system
  • Standard warehouse environment including associated tools, and safety concerns.
  • Routinely lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Repeatable bending and reaching of inventory and supplies.
  • Standing for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Verify and keep records of incoming shipments.
  • Receive, unpack, and put away incoming product.
  • Print, pull, check, and ship orders.
  • Verify and keep records of outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare and package items for shipments accurately.
  • Complete Certificate (CofC / CMTR’s) for all noted orders
  • Assist customers at will-call.
  • Inform the Supervisor of stock-offs.
  • Maintain warehouse supply stock levels and report any items needed to the Branch Supervisor.
  • Clean and organize the warehouse area.
  • Perform cycle counts/inventory adjustments.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures for maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Assist the Branch Supervisor to prepare for VMI deliveries.
  • Responsible to assist the warehouse lead with the training and cross-training of associates.
  • Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership regarding the status of shipments.
  • Maintains a functional knowledge of complex customers and their software requirements.
  • Able to navigate Microsoft Suite (Access, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Maintains a system of organization that allows for agility and open communication when things change.
  • All other tasks and responsibilities as deemed reasonable by the leadership team.
