This role is with Hoffman-Kane, a division of Tencarva Machinery Company. Our service offerings include system analysis and design, applications engineering, custom fabrication of equipment packages, automation and controls, equipment repair, and thermal hard coatings. tencarva.com Summary: Using an RF scanner and Tencarva's ERP system (IFS), receive items shipped into the facility, track/manage inventory, and ship items to customers. Operate forklift to move, store, and organize shipments/inventory throughout the warehouse. Track orders, quotes, and purchase orders in the ERP system.

Requirements

  • Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-2 years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver’s license and no points.
  • Equipment Operated: Forklift, hoist, crane, and other equipment deemed necessary to fulfill the job’s functions.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include being able to accommodate/adjusting the lens of the eye to bring an object into sharp focus and maintain a good field of vision, observing an area that can be seen up or down or right or left while eyes are fixed in a given point.

Responsibilities

  • Receive all items into the warehouse inventory via RF scanner and computer/ERP system (IFS).
  • Open all containers, check all incoming items for accuracy and damage, and initiate damage claims per carrier’s procedures.
  • Accurately complete all appropriate receiving paperwork.
  • Place items in the warehouse’s correct location: Inventory, Work-in-progress shelves, Pick and Hold shelves, Customer Pick Up area. This often requires forklift operation.
  • Pull parts and pumps from inventory for shop jobs and orders. This often requires forklift operation.
  • Put inventory on shelves or in bins in a timely and organized manner. This often requires forklift operation.
  • Maintain warehouse in an organized manner, keep clean, sweep floors as needed, keep pallets piled neatly, and other housekeeping as required.
  • Alternate taking home the warehouse pager with others in the department. Maintain back pads where surplus and scrap are stored.
  • Take trucks in and out of the warehouse alarm system daily.
  • Tag all parts and packages with part number, quantity, description, and customer tagging requirements.
  • Receive finished jobs from the shop and prep for shipment.
  • Package and/or skid items in a sturdy and damage-free manner.
  • Send all accompanying paperwork, remove inappropriate labels and paperwork, and make sure items leave in the proper mode of shipment.
  • Ship all items timely per paperwork or verbal instructions.
  • Helping customers when picking up or dropping off parts or pumps, maintaining shipping and receiving supplies, reuse, and storage of boxes and other shipping materials.
  • Safely perform duties, follow all safety policies and notify any member of management of any potential safety hazards.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
