Shipping/Receiving Operator Bedford, PA 1st shift: 7am - 3pm (M-F) PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Acts as an operator within a warehouse: Receiving, tracking materials, inventorying stock, pulling, picking, and shipping orders.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general equivalent diploma
- Valid Driver's License
- Does not require vocational training nor a university degree.
- Works with clearly defined methods and tasks that are described in detail.
- Has limited prior relevant training or work experience.

Responsibilities
- Administers and operates the organization's warehouses, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment.
- Accounts for all materials in the distribution center.
- Performs receipt, storage and shipment of materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepares and coordinates schedules for domestic shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
- Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.
- Significant time operating electric / fuel-based forklifts loading / unloading trucks.
- Perform transactions in the SAP / ERP system required to process material movements.
- Responsible for maintaining and ensuring workplace organization programs (5S, EHS) are adhered to for the assigned area.
- Performs operational or manual tasks, primarily in manufacturing, supply chain or operational environments.
- Typically performs unskilled or semi-skilled work.
- Works under close supervision with little autonomy.
