About The Position
As our Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day warehouse operations in our chemical manufacturing and distribution facility. Specifically, this will include: Developing and maintaining work instructions, policies, and procedures to facilitate safe, efficient, and compliant shipping and receiving operations; Supervising a team of shipping/receiving personnel, including but not limited to, establishing work schedules, providing training, and managing performance expectations; Working with carriers to schedule shipments and deliveries; Partnering with customer service, production, and supply chain departments to meet customer needs; and, Performing other duties as needed.
Requirements
- 5-10 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
- A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience or proven aptitude for leading
- DOT, IMDG, IATA, and hazmat certification or ability to obtain certification
- Forklift experience
- Basic computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to facilitate teamwork and lead by example
