About The Position

Beyond Vision is a growing social enterprise that creates employment and opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired. As manufacturing grows at our brand-new facility in West Allis, so does the volume of parts and finished goods processed through our shipping and receiving operation. We are seeking a strong leader who is friendly, detail-oriented, and organized to direct these shipping/receiving operations. The best candidate for this position has a commitment to promoting a culture committed to safety and is characterized by strong initiative, effective communication, creative problem-solving, and a leadership style mirroring Servant Leadership philosophy. This person will have great time management skills and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of previous experience performing shipping/receiving and related administrative duties.
• Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office apps, ERP, and other apps/portals relating to shipping and receiving.
• Obtain and maintain Hazardous Materials Certification. If not current, obtain this certification within six months of hire date.
• Dedication to our mission of better employment for people who are blind or visually impaired.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Appropriate credentials to operate a forklift (highly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Overall management of shipping and receiving operations. This includes carefully handling all shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring correct procedures and methods are used, and maintaining facility safety.
• Supervise and lead a small team including hiring, training, time sheet approval, and performance management.
• May supervise the maintenance technician and manage facilities.
