Job Description Position Summary: The Shipping Supervisor confirms and records the receipt of shipments and prepares items for shipping and receiving. In addition, they are responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
Must have automotive manufacturing shipping and logistics experience.
Be open and flexible for off shifts including 2nd and 3rd. This is a 2nd Shift position for now.
At least two years of supervisory experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Possess the energy and drive to meet deadlines, accomplish goals and find solutions.
Excellent analytical skills where output data is actionable and accurate.
Excellent problem solving and follow up skills.
Strict attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Ensures safety first operation of subordinates while demonstrating personal commitment to the safety culture.
Coordinate and execute transference plans with external partners including customers, suppliers, and transportation providers.
Understands performance analysis and operational impacts.
Communicates and creates training, gathers feedback, and recommends operational adjustments.
