About The Position

The Company: Pacific Aerospace & Electronics (PacAero) is seeking a Shipping Specialist level I to join our team. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface. Job Summary Working under general supervision, the Shipping Specialist I is responsible for handling both domestic and international shipments, preparing and packaging parts according to shipping instructions, coordinating logistics using customer-specific portals and internal systems, while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. The role involves verifying accuracy of outgoing shipments by comparing items and quantities to packing slips and purchase orders. This position requires basic knowledge of computer systems and the ability to follow shipping instructions.

Requirements

  • Good hand / eye coordination (fine motor skills, dexterity).
  • Able to use a microscope for extended periods of time.
  • Read, write, speak and comprehend the English language.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Able to sit and or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to safely lift and move packages up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 75 lbs. with assistance or mechanical aid.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
  • Good math skills.
  • Work with hazardous chemicals.
  • Consistently notifies supervisor or designated personnel when tasks are completed.
  • Must be able to follow basic instructions.
  • Must be able to retain information.
  • Dependability: Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
  • Take responsibility for own actions.
  • Ability to access training records.
  • Seek out duties to ensure you are consistently productive.
  • Must be able to consistently meet company minimum labor efficiency rates.

Responsibilities

  • Follow daily clean up and housekeeping procedures.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work-related rules and regulations.
  • The ability to complete tasks in a reasonably timely manner.
  • Demonstrate a basic ability to read and comprehend shipping instructions and other applicable documentation.
  • Must be able to retain information and show continued progression towards a level II Shipping Specialist role.
  • Prepare and package products for domestic and international shipment, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and packaging according to customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments by comparing items and quantities to packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Generate shipping labels and documentation using shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx).
  • Use customer-specific portals to generate shipping labels and submit shipping documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and export controls.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping area.
  • Track shipments and comprehend internal systems and delivery status (Notify relevant departments of delays or exceptions).
  • Maintain organized shipping records for audits and compliance tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments (e.g., Purchasing, Accounting, Inventory, Quality)
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
  • Assist with inventory counts, receiving, and general warehouse duties when required.
