ERMCO is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Shipping Supervisor to lead daily shipping operations and ensure the accurate, timely, and safe shipment of finished goods. This role is responsible for overseeing shipping execution, supervising shipping personnel, maintaining shipment accuracy, and supporting on‑time delivery to customers while upholding ERMCO’s safety and quality standards. As a key leader within plant operations, the Shipping Supervisor partners closely with Logistics, Production, Planning, Quality, and Customer Service teams to support efficient workflows and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of shipping operations, loading procedures, and material handling practices.
  • Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, operations, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in shipping or warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment required.

  • Infor LN experience a plus.
  • Prior supervisory or team‑lead experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the shipping team to meet safety, quality, and delivery expectations.
  • Enforce ERMCO safety standards, policies, and procedures while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of shipping personnel.
  • Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment across shifts.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage to meet daily shipping demands.
  • Oversee day‑to-day shipping activities, including order fulfillment, staging, loading, and documentation.
  • Ensure shipments are accurate, complete, properly packaged, and free from damage.
  • Coordinate shipment schedules with Production and Planning to support on‑time customer delivery.
  • Verify shipping documentation, bills of lading, and customer requirements prior to shipment.
  • Maintain visibility of finished goods inventory and ensure timely movement and proper rotation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, efficiency, and material flow within the shipping area.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and company standards during all shipping activities.
  • Support audits and ensure accurate recordkeeping and documentation.
  • Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies, damages, or customer concerns related to outbound product.
  • Utilize ERMCO business systems to track shipments, inventory movement, and shipping performance.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records, reports, and metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through tracking and analysis of shipping performance indicators.
