About The Position

We are seeking a Shipping Supervisor to lead daily shipping and warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for supervising dock staff, coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate inventory counts, and ensuring orders are prepared and shipped on time. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and comfortable managing a team while balancing multiple operational priorities.

• Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse, dock, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage schedules, workflow planning, and resource allocation in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with a diverse workforce; ability to effectively communicate with a largely Creole/Haitian-speaking team is a plus (English proficiency required).
• Familiarity with forklift and pallet jack operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of approximately 10 dock and warehouse employees, assigning work areas and monitoring daily performance.
• Oversee daily dock operations, including truck movement, staging, loading, and unloading of freight.
• Ensure accurate material counts, documentation, and inventory tracking.
• Prepare and review operational reports and maintain shipping records.
• Develop and manage employee schedules based on production volume and staffing needs.
• Coordinate closely with the Plant Manager, Production Scheduler, and plant personnel to meet production, shipping, safety, quality, and cost goals.
• Ensure customer orders are completed, staged, and shipped on schedule.
• Manage labor utilization and departmental resources to maintain efficient operations and reduce overtime or downtime.
• Ensure products are properly packaged, labeled, and loaded to prevent damage and maintain safe transport.
• Track shipping and operational metrics and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
• Support cross-training initiatives, including forklift and pallet jack operations.
• Provide leadership, training, coaching, and performance management for team members while maintaining a safe work environment.
