About The Position

The Shipping Tech will be responsible for preparing items for all outgoing shipments. Duties of the Shipping Teche will include packaging, creating bills of lading, building pallets, loading the trailer, using FedEx ship manager, using Everest’s shipping wizard, EDI (true commerce) and arranging for the transportation of products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; equivalent combination (preferred). Company will provide equipment and machine training.

Responsibilities

  • Must be familiar with UPS ground and FedEx shipping, including FedEx International
  • Prepare documents, such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, shipping labels and shipping orders to route materials.
  • Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
  • Must be able to drive a lift truck or be willing to learn.
  • Conducting day to day duties on Everest and true commerce.
