About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Shipping Technician II (1st Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour. The hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: This role requires maintaining full proficiency in all material‑handling operations within the department. The individual must work collaboratively with Group Leaders and Production Supervisors to ensure the efficient and continuous flow of materials. Load/Unload materials and deliver to appropriate area Ensure all material is identified and labeled Take daily inventory of material and retrieve material from Receiving Warehouse to replenish stock within the department Follows standard work: Meaning to complete appropriate documentation: Inventory spreadsheet, turn in consignment tickets, 5S/TPM logs, daily housekeeping log, rejected material forms, Kanban board, etc. Ensure performance to Quality procedures: Meaning to check incoming material product for general quality/function/appearance, Quality Alert items and Deviation to process Notify appropriate support group (Supervisor / Group Leader) following escalation process for all issues that aren’t resolve Keep work area “tour ready” by performing 6S house-keeping activities continuously- Work efficiently to achieve departmental goal for standard hours by keeping needed material on hand Stage rejected material in MRB area completing proper documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • Using appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products.
  • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs with or without accomodation.
  • Being flexible and open to changes in processes or tasks.
  • Able to work independently with minimum direction.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • 6 months of experience operating a powered industrial vehicle (e.g., forklift)
  • 6 months of experience using hand and air tools

Responsibilities
