About The Position

The Shipyard Project Manager – Compartment Closeout is responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of compartment closeout activities on a new-construction vessel program. This role owns compartment readiness from active production through final closeout and turnover, ensuring each space is complete, compliant, clean, and configuration-controlled prior to insulation, decking, joiner work, or permanent structural closure. This position operates as the single point of accountability for compartment completion, coordinating engineering, production, quality, coatings, and test stakeholders to prevent premature closeout, downstream rework, access loss, and inspection failures. The successful candidate is a deck-plate, execution-first project manager who understands shipyard sequencing and is comfortable holding the line when a compartment is not ready to close.
