About The Position

The Shop Associate supports the fabrication and assembly of high-quality signage, ranging from basic channel letters to large pole signs and monument signs. This position is hands-on, fast-paced, and requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to assist across multiple departments as needed. You will work closely with your team lead to ensure all signs are properly assembled, quality-checked, and prepared for installation.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, drawings, and instructions (Required).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to assist multiple departments and tasks as production needs shift.
  • Ability to work well in team environments, taking feedback and direction from supervisors.
  • Strong work ethic with reliability, consistency, and willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to maintain focus and productivity in warehouse conditions, including varying temperatures.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate clearly in English (Required).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 30+ lbs, and work in varying temperatures (Required).
  • Valid Utah Driver’s License (Required).
  • Good physical and mental health is required to meet the demands of a production environment.
  • Comfortable working with power tools, loud machinery, and industrial materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in signage, fabrication, or manufacturing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, designs, and drawings (Required).
  • Assemble signs including channel letters, cabinets, pole signs, and monument signs.
  • Trim-cap channel letters and complete related fabrication tasks.
  • Install LED modules and wiring into electrical signs.
  • Handle final assembly of components to prepare signs for installation.
  • Assist where needed across departments such as graphics, trim cap, channel letters, and packing.
  • Follow daily instructions provided by the team lead or supervisor.
  • Gather required hardware and materials for each job, ensuring all parts are complete, accurate, and ready for installation.
  • Perform quality checks on all completed sign components.
  • Complete required paperwork for each job, including work order updates and sign-offs.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, keeping work orders protected and in good condition.
  • Report daily to the team lead regarding progress, needs, and job status.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers to keep production flowing smoothly.
