About The Position

At IAP LLC, the Van Driver is responsible for overseeing individual accounts. Responsible for the processing of new shipments, vehicle movements, and disposition to load lines. The Van Driver will maintain an in-depth knowledge of account procedures and accountability for meeting specified production goals. Essential Duties: Drive a shuttle van. Communicate work assignments to drivers and monitor progress toward completion throughout the day. Record daily activity on a computer tablet as well as a written report. Plan vehicle movements in a manner that results in minimal wait time for drivers and consolidate movement whenever possible. Trouble shoot as needed to facilitate the processing of damaged units or other units requiring special attention. Ensure a spotter is used when backing up vehicles. Serve as a role model to other employees in both work performance and adherence to policies and procedures. Must monitor and promote cleanliness on the shuttle van and all IAP zones. Promote the goal of safety and the prevention of on-the-job accidents resulting in injury to employees and property. Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety. Must monitor, dissuade, and report any unacceptable acts of conduct of team members. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED OR 1+ year continuous work experience with no more than 2 employers
  • Valid US Driver’s License
  • Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
  • 2+ months experience in Field Department and working knowledge of specific account procedures.
  • Drive both automatic and manual shift vehicles.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must possess problem-solving abilities and be detail oriented.
