About The Position

Responsible for performing all activities related to the removal, repair, and installation of parking signs, posts, and pay-on-foot (POF) equipment. Ensures, all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Knowledge of meter and sign post installation standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Knowledge of city geography and street layout.
• Knowledge of safe use of tools, materials, and equipment required for post and sign work.
• Ability to use necessary hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to operate post-hole digging and related installation equipment.
• Ability to mix and apply various types of cement and adhesive materials.
• Ability to communicate effectively via two-way radios and understand city communication codes.
• Ability to work outdoors under various and sometimes unfavorable weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 50–100 pounds.
• Ability to complete reports and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Ability to read and follow simple diagrams and instructions.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and post-hole digging equipment typically acquired after three to four weeks of on-the-job training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Remove, repair, and reinstall meter and sign posts.
• Install and replace posts, signs, and related hardware.
• Install and remove master meters and meter bases.
• Perform repairs using appropriate materials, adhesives, and tools.
• Complete activity and work report accurately and on time.
• Operate and maintain assigned vehicles; comply with all traffic and parking laws while operating company vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
