Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay EFI is currently seeking applicants for a Silicon Laser Operator. The Silicon Laser Operator is responsible for setup and operation of machines as well as filling out all necessary paperwork and production logs. We’re looking for a reliable and motivated individual looking to start or continue growing a career in manufacturing. Job Location: Vishay Electro Films is located in the beautiful ocean state of Rhode Island in the city of Warwick. There are 92 employees across three shifts working at our 57,000 sq. ft. facility of manufacturing space. This role is an on-site position.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Excellent hand eye coordination and finger dexterity required.
  • Demonstrated experience handling small and fragile parts.
  • Must have a continuous improvement attitude and strong attention to details.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.
  • This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations. Nice To Haves

  • Ability to solder is a plus, willing to train.
  • Previous experience working in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and operates multiple silicon machines.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications.
  • Enter all pertinent information required into production logs and complete work travelers and routers.
  • Conduct visual inspection of trimmed parts.
  • Will occassionally work with microscopes.
  • Assumes the ability to read blueprints and interpret drawing specifications.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Ability to read internal specifications.
