Tenstorrent is seeking a Silicon Validation Engineer to help develop cutting-edge die-to-die chiplet PHY IP solutions that power the future of AI computing. You'll work at the forefront of deep sub-micron technologies, collaborating with circuit architects and cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of analog/mixed-signal design. This role is onsite, based out of Santa Clara, CA. We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.

Requirements

  • BS, MS in electrical engineering (MSEE preferred) with 10+ years of hands-on electrical test and characterization of silicon chips/chiplets in a lab using Keysight and Tektronix equipment
  • Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals with analog and digital circuit design
  • Ability to work independently on debug of complex tests and interact with the design team to resolve issues
  • Experience developing test automation in languages such as Python, Perl and Labview
  • Knowledge of fundamental datacomm circuits such as amplifiers, PLL’s and Equalizers
  • Capable of independently running tests such as Tx output jitter measurements, Receiver JTOL and other common validation tests
  • Knowledge using oscilloscopes and BERTS
  • Familiarity with concepts of Jitter, Noise and other non-idealities in circuits
  • Excellent organizational skills to own assigned tasks and track/report progress regularly as strong verbal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience characterizing high speed I/O and PHY’s supporting protocols such as DDR, Ethernet, PCIe, USB, D2D
  • Develop firmware required for silicon validation, as well as experience Verilog, VHDL or other hardware descriptive languages
  • Fluent with industry standard signal and power integrity tools
  • Experience generating and maintaining IBIS model generation for D2D products

Responsibilities

  • Use your silicon test experience to perform validation and qualification of our D2D silicon designs
  • Develop/Evolve test software for silicon validation
  • Work closely with design team to help resolve issues found during validation
