Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in bring-up and validation of complex SoCs, ASIC development cycles, pre/post-silicon validation, and troubleshooting/debug/analytics for Silicon products
  • Experience with EDA tools and scripting languages

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent domain
  • Experience working in a cross functional and cross site team environment
  • Experience with digital design, design verification and firmware/driver development
  • Experience with tape-out, bring-up and characterization of ASICs
  • Experience with building silicon validation infrastructure and test automation
  • Experience with graphics and display technologies
  • Experience in Python, C/C++ and/or similar languages and debugging skills
  • Experience using lab equipment, such as scopes, BERTs, protocol analyzers, JTAG debuggers, etc
  • Knowledge and experience in pre-silicon validation platforms (i.e., FPGA and emulation)
  • Knowledge of ASIC design flow, silicon foundry test flow, and silicon Firmware development process
  • Result-oriented, proactive nature with demonstrated creative and critical thinking

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and sign-off on validation plans and targets for System on Chip (SoCs) and end-to-end HW/SW systems
  • Understands system HW/SW/FW component as a whole and drives validation and debug efforts
  • Collaborate with team members on lab debugging, silicon bug reproduction, failure analysis, and reporting
  • Conduct power and performance analysis of complex SoCs and subsystems, identifying areas of optimization
  • Proactively identify and communicate technical risks to project stakeholders, proposing solutions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including architecture, IP, firmware, SoC, and system engineering, to ensure the SoC achieves product goals
  • Operate effectively in an agile environment, adapting validation plans and targets to evolving roadmaps and project requirements
