Simulation education is essential in the support of clinical and interprofessional practice and is a core element in patient safety and patient experience. The Simulation Education Technician is responsible to provide clinical and technical excellence in planning and executing simulation scenarios as well as maintaining simulation education equipment to align with the Strategic Plan and Dayton Children’s values of Safety, Collaboration, Communication, Ownership, Innovation, Compassion and Value Creation. In working closely with the Manager of Clinical Technology and Simulation, assists with activities surrounding simulation training. The Simulation Education Technician is responsible for the successful development, implementation and evaluation of simulated learning experiences for all disciplines at Dayton Children’s Hospital. The Simulation Education Technician will support staff training across all departments and shifts including evening, night and weekend shifts. The Simulation Education Technician will assist the Manager of Clinical Technology and Simulation in performing regular analysis of all Simulation Education Sessions regarding end user utilization and satisfaction, opportunities to improve patient safety and enhance patient and family experience.
