About The Position

Assists at after-school program site leaders with administrative and operational duties related to the provision of excellent student support services. Responsibilities may include attendance of students, site and material preparation, data entry, scheduling, and student record keeping. May provide coordination for the snack program. May provide backup coverage for absent staff or site leadership. Completes general administrative duties like copying, and filing and other work, as assigned. May assist with student discipline, under the supervision of the site leadership. Works on special projects assigned by the site leadership. Assists with coaching, development and training of staff.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 48 Semester/60 Quarter College Units or pass NCLB test.
  • Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).
  • Provide a clear TB test.
  • Demonstrate oral and written proficiency in English.
  • Implement effective instructional after-school activities in the classroom.
  • Learn the procedures and functions of assigned duties.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Learn, understand and apply rules, regulations, procedures and policies.
  • Understand and be sensitive to the needs and culture of TK-12 students.
  • Work confidentially with discretion.
  • Perform simple clerical duties.
  • Perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Must be available M-F for the entire shift schedule.
  • Word processing
  • Use typical office equipment, E-mail, and Internet software.
  • Web browsing and electronic file management.
  • Zoom, Google Classroom, and other digital platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Children: Prior experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred. Experience supporting or coaching others in a team environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assists site leadership with organizing and overseeing student check-in and sign-out process.
  • Interacts with and builds strong relationships with parents during drop off and pick up periods.
  • Organizes and prepares educational and other materials; stores and checks resources; organizes materials for students and teachers.
  • Coordinates the snack program (orders, checks in and inventories food products, dispenses snacks, keeps records and enters data according to school site requirements).
  • Assists with and ensures room clean up, as needed or requested.
  • Serves as a positive role model for students and others affiliated with CSTC.
  • Supervises students and staff in the absence of site leadership, as needed.
  • Works on special projects assigned by site leadership.
  • Assist with coaching, development and training of staff and volunteers.
  • Friendly, supportive attitude when working with children and adults.
  • Oversees the effective implementation of district partner and site leadership program expectations to ensure the highest quality outcomes and meaningful impact for students.
  • Other duties as assigned.
