About The Position

We are seeking a vigilant Site Flagger to manage traffic and safety within our manufacturing warehouse and outdoor laydown areas. Supporting a 10K Forklift Operator, you will direct equipment movement, enforce exclusion zones, and maintain pedestrian safety. This role requires mandatory OSHA-10 Construction certification and at least 1 year of experience in a construction or industrial setting. A core duty includes participating in daily joint pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure maximum site safety. Benefit Information: ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. Work Schedule: Monday – Saturday | 48 Hours/Week (40 Regular + 8 OT) $17–$20 per hour, depending on experience (bilingual preferred)

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a flagger or traffic controller on a construction site or within a manufacturing facility.
  • Valid OSHA-10 Construction certification (Mandatory).
  • Strong situational awareness, ability to remain standing for long durations, and clear vocal/visual communication skills.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Joint Pre-Shift Inspection: The Flagger will participate in a daily "walk-around" inspection of the 10,000 lb forklift alongside the Operator to verify hydraulics, tires, and safety alarms are functional.
  • Traffic Coordination: Direct the flow of pedestrians, light vehicles, and heavy equipment within the warehouse and large outdoor laydown areas to prevent collisions.
  • Operator Guidance: Act as the primary "spotter" for the 10K Forklift Operator, using hand signals or radios to guide them through blind spots, narrow aisles, and during high-elevation lifts.
  • Exclusion Zone Management: Responsible for setting up and enforcing safety perimeters (using cones or tape) around active loading/unloading zones in the yard.
  • Hazard Detection: Continuously monitor the laydown area for ground hazards, debris, or unauthorized personnel, exercising "Stop Work Authority" if a safety risk is detected.
