About The Position

Site Procurement Specialist The Global Procurement Devices team is responsible for site procurement across four global GSK manufacturing sites. We are looking for a Site Procurement Specialist to join our team at the Zebulon, NC manufacturing site in the USA. As the Site Procurement Specialist (SPS), reporting to the Site Procurement Manager, you will partner with stakeholders across site functional areas (including Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Technical and Engineering) and work closely with Global Procurement Category teams to support all site procurement activities. The role is high-profile, working with stakeholders enterprise-wide (including up to Senior Director level) to understand specifications and business requirements. You will be responsible for identifying, managing and executing performance management of initiatives to optimize third party vendor security for supply, quality, service, cost, innovation, regulatory and sustainability for the Zebulon site. Requirements

  • 2+ years of Procurement or Supply Chain experience in a multi-site, matrixed organization (experience with procurement tools – Ariba, SAP ECC & BI, and Salesforce).
  • Experience with sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier review and supplier development.
  • Bachelor’s degree Required (Business Administration, Supply Chain or Engineering).
  • Experience with having analytical skills, comfortable working with and interpretating data and numbers.
  • Ability to manage sensitive partnerships, influencing and stakeholder partnering skills coupled with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience of working in an FDA regulated environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to work onsite 3 - 4 days per week

Responsibilities

  • Financials: Cost & cash - Primarily Cost of Goods/OPEX savings. Drive and measure optimal PPV (Purchase Price Variance) performance and manage/implement value generation initiatives.
  • Security of Supply: Ensuring that the right raw material or component is delivered at the right time, in the right amount & quality at the correct time.
  • Innovation: Driving & capturing new ideas & innovation to optimise supply & process
  • Quality: Reduce supplier deviations, maintain long-term supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement activities to capture cost savings. Ensures compliance with global Procurement policies initiatives including, but not limited to, driving use of preferred suppliers, third party risk management initiatives, and participation in material risk assessments.
  • Service: Drive optimal On-Time In-Full delivery of vendors. Support capital project delivery for key site initiatives.
  • Risk: Support implementation of risk mitigation measures to ensure security of supply of key materials and services.
  • Sustainability: Champion and drive implementation of key initiatives in support of ambitious targets.
  • Site: Representative for Global Procurement at site. Supports all site functions, from a Procurement standpoint, including indirect and capital as directed.
