About The Position

1. Training: 1.1. Support Training Managers with monthly Safety meetings 1.2. Provide support during OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training 1.3. Conduct Toolbox talks as needed 2. Safety: 2.1. Conduct daily Site Safety audits and submit reports of the site visits with findings 2.2. Conduct Supervisor Investigation for incidents along with Safety Specialist guidance (injury, accident, equipment theft, equipment damage, near-miss, and line strike) 2.3. Enforce safety policies and procedures as required by OSHA law and Company Policies 2.4. Perform periodic evaluations of tools and equipment 2.5. Ensure that safety meetings (toolbox talks) are taking place 2.6. Promote safe work practices 2.7. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Deliverables: • Site safety audits – Daily • Incident Reports – As needed • Escalation of essential Incident information to Safety Manager and/or Risk Manager – As needed • Safety Training – Monthly and as scheduled on projects Deliverables: • Site safety audits – Daily • Incident Reports – As needed • Escalation of essential Incident information to Safety Mgr and/or Risk Manager – As needed • Safety Training – Monthly and as scheduled on projectsQualifications Qualifications • Must possess a thorough knowledge of interpreting and complying with OSHA as well as best practices in construction safety • 1- 2 years of relevant safety experience working on construction projects • Bilingual [English-Spanish] • OSHA 30 in construction or higher OSHA certification • First aid/CPR certification (not required but a plus) • Must have a valid driver’s license • Active Listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking tine to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. • Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. • Reading Comprehension – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. • Speaking – Talking to others to convey information effectively. • Writing – Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. • Coordination – Adjusting actions in relation to others’ actions. • Judgment and Decision Making – Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. • Time Management – Managing one’s own time and the time of others. • Social Perceptiveness – Being aware of other’s reactions and understanding why they react as they do. • Computer Skills with Microsoft Word and Excel • Ability to work independently as well as part of a Team

Requirements
