We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Security Officer shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. to support Indianapolis, IN site. ​
The Site Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding the company’s physical assets, personnel, and proprietary information. This role involves monitoring premises, enforcing security protocols, responding to incidents, and supporting overall risk management strategies. The ideal candidate is vigilant, professional, and well-versed in corporate security practices. Shift coverage as needed, including days, nights, and weekends.

This role will be on site at the Corteva Indianapolis Global Headquarters.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 4+ years of previous experience in corporate security, military, law enforcement, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Proficiency with surveillance systems and security technologies.
• Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to wear respirator.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree Preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to remain on your feet and conduct regular patrols for extended periods.
• Comfortable handling high‑pressure situations and interacting professionally in challenging or confrontational circumstances.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor corporate facilities to detect and prevent unauthorized access, theft, or damage.
• Enforce access control policies and verify credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Monitor security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control software.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, including security breaches, medical emergencies, and fire incidents.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate daily activity logs.
• Assist with investigations related to internal or external security incidents.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Support the development and implementation of security procedures and training programs.
• Maintain knowledge of current security technologies, threats, and best practices.
• Participate in risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
