About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Site Technical Training Supervisor. This position is ONSITE Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at our Fayetteville, NC Eaton location. The Training Supervisor is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving the training and development experience for all employees at the Fayetteville facility. This role will lead the transformation of our onboarding programs supporting employees who may be entering manufacturing for the first time—while also developing upskilling pathways for experienced team members. The Training Supervisor will partner closely with HR, Manufacturing, OPEX, Quality, EHS, and external educational partners to build a comprehensive, data-driven training ecosystem that ensures compliance, strengthens capability, and supports long-term workforce development. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • High school diploma /GED
  • Experience developing training materials (SOPs, eLearning, job aids, assessments, videos, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze training gaps and recommend solutions
  • Able to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, operations, or technical environment
  • Project management skills, including the ability to lead cross functional initiatives
  • Ability to work on the production floor, observe processes, and collaborate closely with operations teams
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Fayetteville, NC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in training & development, Education, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in training, learning & development, instructional design, or workforce development
  • Able to perform advanced troubleshooting of MCC products
  • Learning Management System (LMS) experience, including assigning courses, managing rosters, and generating compliance reports
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Comfortable engaging operators, technicians, and managers
  • High organization and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Coaching mindset and strong situational awareness
  • Ability to simplify complex manufacturing concepts for new learners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint

Responsibilities

  • Training Program Development & Delivery
  • Lead the overhaul and modernization of the plant’s training processes, including new hire onboarding, job-specific technical training, and ongoing skill development.
  • Develop high-quality training materials including SOP-based modules, on demand eLearning, videos, job aids, and assessments.
  • Facilitate instructor-led training sessions and coordinate SME support from Manufacturing, OPEX, Quality, and EHS.
  • Collaborate with community colleges and external partners to deliver technical training, certifications, and apprenticeship programs.
  • New Hire Onboarding
  • Coordinate all aspects of new hire onboarding in partnership with HR and functional departments.
  • Create structured, standardized onboarding pathways that support employees who may be new to manufacturing.
  • Ensure consistent orientation and job specific readiness across all departments.
  • Training Planning, Tracking & Compliance
  • Maintain the Fayetteville Training Plan and develop training calendars for plant-wide and department-specific needs.
  • Administer the Eaton University Learning Management System (LMS), including user assignments, content updates, compliance tracking, and reporting.
  • Track training attendance, manage scheduling, and coordinate make-up or re-certification sessions.
  • Conduct training gap assessments across all departments and recommend targeted development programs.
  • Partnerships & Workforce Development
  • Build and manage partnerships with regional community colleges, workforce development groups, and apprenticeship organizations.
  • Develop structured apprenticeship and career pathway programs aligned with future skill requirements.
  • Support grant funded training projects and external development initiatives when applicable.
  • Continuous Improvement & Project Leadership
  • Use needs analysis, employee feedback, performance data, and audits to improve training effectiveness.
  • Lead cross-functional training-related projects from initiation through completion.
  • Evaluate training impact through assessments, performance indicators, and follow-up coaching plans.
  • Other Duties
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support plant development initiatives.
