About The Position

Summary/Objective The Skid Steer Operator is responsible for the proper operation, maintenance, and safety checks associated with the specific machine they are working with each day. The position works with the team to ensure the job site is completed in a timely manner. Responsibilities

• Performs typical duties in operating machinery including but not limited to proper operation, maintenance and safety checks associated with the specific machine.
• Works with machinery to excavate, trench and otherwise move dirt.
• Operates heavy equipment in safe and effective manner.
• Coordinates excavation efforts with other drivers and/or operators.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations and preventative maintenance on machines as required.
• Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
• Navigates from site to site and communicates effectively
