About The Position
Immediate Opening: Skilled Caregiver Columbia, MO Schedule: Daily 7 am to 7 pm and Monday, Saturday, and Sunday 7 pm to 7 am Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is hiring a dependable, experienced caregiver to provide one on one support in Jefferson City. This position requires strong hands-on care skills, prior in-home care experience, and confidence assisting clients with mobility and personal care needs. Experience using a gait belt, assisting with toileting is required. Hospice experience is highly beneficial. Your skills can help someone live safely and comfortably at home. Requirements
- Previous professional caregiving experience
- Experience with memory care is required
- Experience using a gait belt and assisting with toileting
- Reliable, patient, and compassionate demeanor
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Hospice experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing and dressing
- Provide hands on toileting support
- Safely assist with transfers and mobility using a gait belt
- Assist with meal times
- Offer companionship and attentive support throughout the entire shift
