About The Position

Small Engine Mechanic – Deans Services Deans Services is looking for a Small Engine Mechanic to join our Fleet & Equipment Maintenance team in Leesburg. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with small engines, maintaining equipment, and helping keep a fleet running smoothly. You’ll work in a dedicated shop environment maintaining company vehicles and small equipment used by our field service teams.

Requirements

• Small engine experience preferred
• Basic vehicle maintenance skills are required
• Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
• You must have your own tools and a tool cart or chest to keep them organized

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain small engines, including 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines on equipment such as backpack blowers, trimmers, sprayers, and other field equipment.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance including oil changes, brake work, tire rotations, and fluid or filter replacements.
• Assist with maintaining company vehicles and fleet equipment to ensure they remain reliable and ready for daily operations.
• Operate a forklift and assist with loading and unloading deliveries when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and help keep equipment, parts, and tools properly stored and stocked.
