About the position

Under general supervision of the Director of Public Relations, the Marketing Intern will support the daily functions of the Public Relations and Marketing Department. This role assists with a variety of communications efforts that support the hospital’s image, community engagement, and service line promotion. The intern will contribute to the development of materials for both internal and external audiences, help plan and execute events, and support content creation across digital platforms. The intern may also assist with community outreach initiatives, coordinate with medical staff for public education efforts, and contribute to any and all projects that enhance public awareness of the hospital’s mission and services. This hands-on internship offers exposure to hospital operations, healthcare marketing strategy, and public relations in a professional healthcare environment. The intern is responsible for abiding by the policies and procedures of the organization as well as all regulatory agencies that provide oversight concerning patient care, and will be responsible for creating forms, documents, publications, and/or review statistical data reports. Occasional travel is required within the local area. Intern must be able to work and relate in a professional non defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, and visitors.
