About The Position

We are seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer Lead to oversee and execute the migration of data pipelines, SQL logic, and workloads from Teradata to Snowflake using SnowConvert.AI. This role leads technical design, coordinates migration activities, and ensures high-quality, scalable data engineering outcomes in Snowflake.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years in data engineering with strong Teradata and SQL expertise.
  • Hands-on Snowflake experience (warehouses, performance optimization, security, ELT).
  • Experience using SnowConvert.AI or similar automated code-conversion tools.
  • Strong background in ETL/ELT development, orchestration, and pipeline optimization.
  • Leadership experience managing technical delivery and mentoring engineering teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with dbt, Python, Airflow, or cloud-native orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with BI modernization (Tableau, Looker) and semantic-layer alignment.
  • Snowflake or cloud certifications (plus).

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end data migration from Teradata to Snowflake using SnowConvert.AI for automated code conversion.
  • Oversee modernization of ETL/ELT pipelines, SQL scripts, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Review, validate, and optimize SnowConvert-generated SQL for accuracy, efficiency, and Snowflake best practices.
  • Partner with Data Architects, BI teams, and business stakeholders to define migration priorities and timelines.
  • Implement data models, transformation logic, and scalable Snowflake patterns (e.g., Tasks, Streams, micro-partitioning).
  • Guide junior engineers, enforce coding standards, and ensure data quality, testing, and documentation.
  • Support environment setup, orchestration workflows, and CI/CD for Snowflake pipelines.
